As usual, most of the first term was taken up by students preparing for the Speech Festival. Many of the English Club members either participated themselves or assisted junior students in their preparation. A record number of students (five) won major prizes. Also this year senior students participated in their own choice and news presentations as well as the regular solo verse speaking. As a final preparation for the verse speaking, we held a Poems Appreciation Day here at school and this was very ably organized by the English Club committee.
